Mobile apps (ASO)
Track your iOS and Android listings: audit copy, see ranking keywords, follow ranks and reviews.
AuctoSEO tracks mobile apps next to websites. A project can hold a site and any number of apps; each app is one product with a listing per store (App Store or Google Play). Team access is per project, so anyone who can open a project sees its apps.
Add an app
Open a project, go to Apps, and choose Add app. For each store the product is on, say whether it is live, in review, or not published yet.
- Live: paste the store link (or the Apple numeric id / Google package name).
- In review or not published yet: no link needed. You can audit the copy you plan to submit before it is in any store, which is the cheapest time to get the title, subtitle and keywords right.
What you get
- Listing audit. Checks each store's limits and ranking rules: title and subtitle length, brand-only titles, words Apple would index twice, Google Play's description length, and phrases you want to rank for that the copy doesn't cover. Try new copy runs the same audit live as you type, with no credits.
- Keywords. The keywords an app already ranks for, with the app's position and the keyword's store search volume. Compare against a competitor to see keywords they rank for that you miss.
- Ranks. Track up to 50 search phrases per listing. Positions are checked daily and on demand.
- Reviews. The newest public reviews, a weekly average rating, and a filter for low ratings.
- Portfolio. One screen across every app you can access, ranked by what to fix first.
What uses credits
Reading stored data is free. These call the store data provider and use a small number of credits, and only run when you press the button: refreshing a listing, loading keywords, suggesting competitors, comparing keywords, checking ranks, and fetching reviews. Scheduled daily rank checks also use credits.
Limits worth knowing
- Store keyword data and competitor suggestions cover the US storefront in English only, for now.
- There is no way to look up search volume for an arbitrary keyword in the stores. New keywords come from comparing against competitors' rankings.
- Apple's hidden 100-character keyword field can't be read by anyone but you. Paste it into Try new copy to have it checked.
- Public data can't show your own downloads, impressions or conversion. Those live in App Store Connect and the Google Play Console.
MCP tools
Agents can work the same data: list_apps, add_app, refresh_app_listing, audit_app_listing, get_app_keywords, find_app_competitors, get_app_keyword_gap, track_app_keywords, get_app_ranks, and get_app_reviews. Reads are free; anything that spends credits is an explicit flag (refresh, check) or its own tool. See Set up AuctoSEO MCP.
